Car history: |
This 1968 Corvette 327 4-Speed Convertible is the first year of the 3rd Generation Vettes (C3). This car runs and drives great, shifts into all gears as normal and sounds Awesome! The Candy Apple paint job was just completed this past Spring. It's a 2 Stage (Base and Clear) paint and it shines really nice! The clear coat has been wet sanded and buffed to a beautiful shine. The interior is nice. No rips or tears in the seats. Carpet is in great shape. Dash is showing its age a bit. It needs to be cleaned up and a little TLC time given to it. Not bad, just not brand new looking. I just installed a brand new Ididit Tilt Steering Column. Makes the driving experience a bit more pleasant. Looks really nice too! Tires are about 50 per cent worn. Still have plenty of tread left on them. Brakes work very well. Brand new Aluminum Radiator was installed last summer. Original was leaking, so we decided to upgrade it to an Aluminum radiator for better cooling efficiency. Engine bay is not show quality. Just needs a weekend to clean it up and detail it. Rear end is a POSI. Not sure sure what the gear ratio is, but it seems to perform pretty well. Top is in great shape. Not 100 per cent show perfect, but pretty nice. I also have the removable hard top, but it didn't get painted Candy Apple red. It's just a fire engine red (color of the car when I bought it). Wiper motor is currently removed. It needs to be rebuilt. I just haven't got around to it. I didn't want to buy an over-the-counter one, as it wouldn't be correct for the car. September 7, 2015. |
